Subsidy

Applicable to children from ages 0 to Grade 6 (12 years old).

Ages 0-5 can apply for Daycare programs.

Ages 6-12 can apply for Out of School care programs.

Available only to Licensed Daycare or Dayhome facilities.

Daycare-age children can receive up to $266 monthly if family income is less than $119,000 per year (up to $76 monthly for higher incomes)

Out-of-school care-aged children can receive up to $644 monthly if their family income is less than $49,900 per year (up to $161 monthly for higher incomes).

Children attending less than 100 hours per month will have their subsidy reduced proportionally.

Families have to apply for it at the Government of Alberta Website.
Affordability grant

Applicable to children from ages 0 to Grade 6 (12 years old).

Available only to Licensed Daycare or Dayhome facilities.

Full-time (100 hours+ monthly) toddlers can receive up to $709 monthly. Preschoolers, Kindergartens and Out-of-School care children can receive up to $626 monthly

Part-time (50-99 hours monthly), toddlers receive up to $255 monthly. Preschoolers, Kindergartens and Out-of-School care children can receive up to $225 monthly

The Daycare applies for the families.
